The number one thing that you need to think about is to ensure that you fill the gas tanks to the brim. Adding a stabilizer is also something that you need to consider. If you leave the gas tank empty, it will end up moisturizing, and then water occupies. It then corrodes when it combines with oxygen thus rusting. Be sure to also remove some of the electronic gadgets, for example, the batteries.

The other thing that you need to ensure is to cover your yacht using a tarp or something that looks similar. This will help you protect it from dust. This will be very important especially if you are using the outdoor parking lot. The indoors units will normally provide climate control, the temperatures, and the humidity levels will be best.

Be sure to repair any crack or dings on your yacht before you store it. These repairs will save you a lot of cash in the future. In case you keep your yacht with a small problem, expect it to be huge after a few months especially when it is winter.

Cleaning your boat is the other thing that you need to put into consideration. When you power wash the stains caused by the off seas, it will look appealing. In the process, you may find parts that require your attention. Repaint the parts that require being repainted, be sure also to repair and seal the broken down parts.

Draining everything that is in the coolant from the engine is also another important step not to forget. Replace everything with a non-toxic anti- freezer for instance; propylene glycol base. Do not use ethylene glycol that releases toxins.

To increase the air circulations on the yacht, be sure to clear out the yacht. Remove all sails, lines, anchors and fenders. If there were any bunk cushions, fire extinguishers and carpets be sure to remove them. You need to also empty all lockers and remove any gear that is loose. Finally be sure to clean out the ice box and the refrigerator.

Having read all the above tips to prepare your yacht during the winter season, you will now relax knowing that your gadget will survive the harsh weathers. Again, you cannot tell when the Mother Nature harsh winter will arrive. That is why you should prepare.
